I have been thinking of joining the military for awhile and finally made the decision to speak with a recruiter.  My recruiter was helpful and provided my husband and I with a good idea of what to expect.  Raul and I are going to do this together, and we are excited for this next step in our lives.  We had a meeting not too long ago where we presented all of the necessary documents (birth certificate, diplomas, etc.) and also filled out the health questionnaire.  This form is comprehensive but straight-forward.  I waited for a few weeks to hear back, and now I have scheduled to take the ASVAB and MEPS in 2.5 weeks! I haven’t been in school for over two years now, and math was always a weakness for me, so I am definitely studying.  I bought a Kaplan ASVAB study guide to help me through the process. I am nervous and excited! I will update as soon as I complete both the ASVAB and MEPS.
